Lissy Trullie Touring With The Virgins, Great American in May

After her distinctly-all-ages show at the DeYoung last month, we're psyched to hear that Lissy Trullie will be back in town for a legitimate rock club show in May. What's more, Trullie will be opening for The Virgins - a band who we've been dying to see live for quite some time. The two will be touring for most of May, with dates primarily sticking to the west coast. In the meantime, Trullie is hitting up South By Southwest, and then heading to Europe for a few solo dates. Us, we'll be listening to her EP one more time. It's tasty.

Anya Marina Touring With The Virgins

You may remember that we were quite taken with Anya Marina's show late last year at Cafe Du Nord. Well now word has come down the wire that Ms. Marina will be touring with The Virgins in the new year, and we couldn't be more enthused. While we've never seen The Virgins live, we keep hearing great things from friends, and it's no secret that we thought Anya's live act was killer.

Sadly, none of the dates are on the West Coast, so if you're out here with us in California you'll just have to make due with Marina's recent performance on Live Daily (link below). Once you're done with that, you can ramp up for her new record Slow And Steady Seduction Phase Two, which goes on sale next Tuesday. For those of you who are on the East coast, definitely check out this sweet double bill - it's not to be missed.

Popscene Is Hopping In December: Franz Ferdinand (DJ Set), Vampire Weekend, The Virgins

This morning we decided to check out 330 Ritch's December schedule (well, actually, Popscene's), and we were pleasantly suprised to see that the venue is hopping for the holiday season. Most notably, on December 11th Popscene will be hosting the Not So Silent Night afterparty, and Franz Ferdinand will be DJing. A week later, Popscene will be having their own "holiday ball", and NYC hot-item The Virgins will be in the house. Granted, the place is always a mob scene, but if you're feeling the holiday party vibe, maybe that's not such a bad thing.
