Mark your calendars kids, this year's Treasure Island Festival has been announced and confirmed. On October 17th and 18th, the festival will be returning to its eponymous locale, and will presumably bring the same level of efficient organization, amazing music, and (hopefully) great weather that it's managed for the past two years. No lineup announcement as of yet, aside from the decision to stick with the Saturday/Sunday Dance/Rock lineup theme of the past two years. Keep an eye out, as news should be forthcoming in the next couple of months.
Given the success of last year's Outside Lands Festival, we would have been surprised if it hadn't come around again. That being said, it's always nice to get the official word. We were psyched to see that Outside Lands will be returning the last week in August, from the 28th - the 30th.
While there's no official word on the lineup, we have heard extensive whisperings that Dave Matthews Band's "TBA" tour date in San Francisco falls on this weekend - they may be getting a nod as one of the three headliners. As always, developing. In the meantime, mark your calendars!
