Cursive: Summer Tour, Great American In June

We already mentioned just how much we enjoyed Cursive's network television debut a while back on Letterman. Given that, we were psyched to see that the band has lined up a summer tour that will be stopping by Great American Music Hall on June 27th.

The band's Letterman performance was musically tight and completely impassioned. Enough so that we've been giving their latest, Mama, I'm Swollen, a fair bit of listening time. To put it lightly, it hasn't disappointed. While it does offer up a fair dose of melancholy and heart-on-sleeve emotion, it does so with style. The songwriting is great, the vocals are killer, and the instrumental arrangements are rock solid. In short, everything that makes up a great record.

We're more than a little interested in catching the band's live show, which is on tour now. After a few more dates on the east coast and in the midwest and a stop in the UK, the band will be returning for a bunch of west coast dates in late June. If it's suiting your fancy, we definitely recommend you catch up with them at GAMH.

Tickets are on sale now.
