Robert Fripp Joins Nick Cave On Grinderman Remix

Sure, it caught our interest when we heard that Nick Cave was making a comeback with his bluesy rock combo Grinderman. But it lured us in even more when we heard that Cave had enlisted Robert Fripp to workover a remix of the lead single "Heathen Child", and had retitled it "Super Heathen Child". Well, we finally got around to listening to the track, which dropped a few weeks ago, and we love it.

In typical Fripp fashion, the astute guitarist lays down guitar lines that are subversive and bizarre, but at the same time manage to give the song new definition and personality. In other words: it's very, very good. But don't take our word for it: check out a stream of the fab new remix below, and feel the love.

Nick Cave Weirdness

So, last week when we posted about the Nick Cave on-sale, there were two shows listed and the on-sale was June 1st. Now, oddly, the on-sale has changed to June 22nd, and the second show has disappeared. We have no idea what happened. Maybe it was a preview of what is to be if the first show sells out? Anyway, it now appears as though the 22nd is the date to get your Nick Cave goodness...

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Coming To The Warfield

On the heels of their extremely well received record Dig, Lazarus, Dig!, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds will be in San Francisco this Fall. The album appears to be a nice return to form for Cave, after last year's foray into edgier territories with Grinderman.

The band will be playing the Warfield on September 20th, and judging by their live reputation we're guessing it'll be a "don't miss". Frankly, we here at H.A.D. are hoping for a lengthy live rendition of "Babe, I'm On Fire". While there's no official on-sale posted on Ticketbastard as of yet, the other West Coast dates look like they go on sale this weekend, so keep your eyes peeled.
