UPDATE: Yanked the vid because it wouldn't stop autoplaying. Go here to see it.
You may recall that earlier in the week we mentioned a Kevin Drew directed project to make a film for Feist's song "The Water". At the time, all we had for you was a making-of interview, but now the full film has surfaced on pitchfork.tv.
The film is pretty much as expected from the interview, with lots of silence, "talking through eyes", and a somewhat creepy feel. Kudos to Drew - it's a solid effort. Check it out for yourself above, and quickly - it's one-week-only!

Full Video For Kevin Drew & Feist Collaboration Surfaces

Feist And Kevin Drew Are Making A Movie (Is That What They're Calling It These Days?)
If there's one thing that rock and roll lovebirds do best, it's dream up new ways to collaborate. Luckily for Kevin Drew and Feist, they were collaborating before they were lovin', so there's a high quality bar that was set long ago.
The pair's latest effort is a short film made by Drew, based on Feist's song "The Water". The film features Feist acting along with Cillian Murphy of Batman Begins fame. Pitchfork's done a nice interview on the making of the film (above), and it features the pair's thoughts on the work, as well as excerpts. That being said, it doesn't exactly make clear what the film is about: there's a lot of hugging, not much talking, and a lot of sad looks. Hrm.
No word on where you can catch the actual film just yet, but we'll keep an eye out. Maybe the next issue of Wholphin?

An Arts And Crafts Update
Here at H.A.D., we're pretty much whores for anything that comes our way from the Arts and Crafts camp. Things being what they are, here are a couple of news bites from our friends in Canada:
- P4TV has the debut of a new Kevin Drew video for "Safety Bricks", off of the first Broken Social Scene Presents... disc. Check the stream below.
- The second disc in the series has apparently been leaked prior to its July 22nd street date, in unmastered form. This has led Brendan Canning to offer it up for sale in digital form.
- While reading about item 2, we noticed that Feist and Constantines covered the classic "Islands In The Stream". Check it out below, go pay for it if you like it.

Kevin Drew: Pre-Sale for Fillmore Show, New Album
By now many of you (I'm sure) have heard the subtly titled "TBTF" from Kevin Drew's forthcoming album, and also noticed that the Broken Social Scene front-man has planned a fall tour to support the record. Yesterday I mentioned that the Fillmore show will go on-sale this Sunday. However, today I discovered that there's a pre-sale going on at the Arts and Crafts website. You can access the pre-sale by clicking here.
I've managed to dredge up about half of the album's tracks on the internets, and I can say that it definitely holds Drew's distinctive BSS flair. With all of the other BSS artists out there making solo bids (Feist, Metric, Apostle Of Hustle,Jason Collett) it's nice to see the band's leader doing the same. Granted, it's under the "BSS Presents" moniker, but it's still his own thing. For me, the record really works: it's a solid bunch of song writing. With no new BSS output on the horizon, it'll tide me over for quite a while. Can't wait for the Fillmore!
Broken Social Scene Presents Kevin Drew - Spirit If... is out on Arts and Crafts on September 18th.
