Spoon Playing One-Off Portland Show - Debuting New Material?

Things have been pretty quiet in the Spoon camp since the New Year, and by all accounts the band has been largely holed up in the studio working on the follow up to Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. That being said, we were a tad surprised to see that the band had scheduled a one-off show in Britt Daniel's hometown of Portland, OR.

The show takes place on Friday, March 6th at the Crystal Ballroom. While there are no guarantees, we have to say that we'd be shocked if the band doesn't take the opportunity to road-test some of the new album material, and see how it goes. Either way, given the awesomeness of Spoon, you're guaranteed an awesome show either way. We may even have to make the road trip from SF for this one.
