No Age: New EP, Fall Tour

Here at HAD, we make no secret of the fact that we heart No Age to the max. As a band, they manage to not only deliver some of the most interesting music being produced today, but also one of the most dynamic and exciting live shows going; and there's only two of them! All that being true, we couldn't have been more excited to discover that the band has a new EP on tap for October, and will be touring in its support.

The EP, entitled Losing Feeling is a four track vinyl release, and we have to tell you: it rules. The band is really pushing themselves towards tighter songwriting, and they're all the better for it. The experimental sonics are still there, as are the murky vocals, but the band has abandoned their love of the punk/hardcore song structure for something that's a little bit more subtle. While the release will be just on 12" vinyl (yum!) you can stream now for free, courtesy of Sub Pop! We love the tunes, but we do have to say that we're curious how the more subtle songcraft will play out with the band's typically high energy crowd.

Finally, about that crowd and those shows: the band will be doing a quick tour this fall in support of the EP. Lucky for us here at HAD, that means multiple stops in both of our home bases of San Francisco and New York. The SF date will wrap up the tour at Great American on October 30th, while the New York stop will include Le Poisson Rouge and the New Museum. Either way, awesomeness abounds!
