Paul McCartney As He Should Be

This is what's been missing, Paul. The rock and roll. The piece of your soul that's all over the tape on "Why Don't We Do It In The Road?". The side of Paul McCartney that screams relevance and indignation and rebellion. This is The Fireman, and it is good.

The Fireman
is a side project of Paul McCartney and the producer Youth, and has thus far yielded two records. From the sound of things the last two were a bit poppy and electronic. Well, now there's a third on the way entitled Electric Arguments, and it's sounding like bluesy hateful awesomeness. And no, this story has nothing to do with Pete Doherty. We just included him in the pic because he's badass too.

Thanks to Stereogum for the tip. The new record drops on November 18th.
